Health insurance does not meet the HRC's standards for healthcare equality. AMD does not plan to meet these standards until most other companies do. AMD's competitors and industry peers almost universally meet these standards.

Choice of Kaiser or UHC (in CA), 6% 401(k) match of 75% on the first 6% of salary, etc. Good enough benefits to keep employees, but nothing out of the ordinary. However, health benefits are deteriorating significantly every year as the company pushes hard to move people to HSA plans and only keeps plan pricing stable if the employee submits to a very invasive health program with exams, health surveys, and extensive fitness tracking.

There is still 401k matching (I think it's 75% of 6% of your salary), which I heard is not present in a lot of companies anymore

A lot of benefits have been cut or scaled back. Changes to the Sabbatical/Recognition Trip program before eliminating it entirely meant a lot of people lost the time they had already accrued in these benefits.

401 K is very good managed by Fidelity. Medical and dental insurance relatively low coast for benefits provided with plan.

Best thing - Gym onsite and health/fitness programs
Worst thing - not matching charitable contributions

The benefits are pretty comprehensive and of good quality. No complaints.
