Current Customer Service Representative in Las Vegas, Nevada

You had paid holidays if you worked only. Not enough leave after having a child. You are paid leave if you work a certain amount of hours after exhausting hours earned you would no longer get paid, so plan ahead. You can opt to purchase more time off to be paid. Training was paid due to on work shift only training. Training for CSM was on your own was not paid. You received $1.00 more for acting CSM when training on your own. Paid $1.00 more if you are fluent in another language. Disability report was denied and other legally right to have situations due to certain employees. It depends on who is managing the shift. It's only as good as your staff. That's universal.

Good travel benefit you can go worldwide whenever you want with low expense.

Current American Airlines Flight Attendant in Los Angeles, California

medical is still great although it's gone up significantly over the past few years. Still awesome. I think the new management is being really fair with all work groups trying to get the merger right and keep employees and customers wanting to work for and fly on AA. Dental package just made better in the past week or so offering a third option that is significantly better than the other two.

excellent benefits for part time employees

The best benefit package: flight benefits. Flight benefits begin immediately; however, when you let your friend or family member fly, the taxes for the ticket is taken out of your paycheck. The worst thing is: Personal Time Off is unpaid.

Great health plan, travel benefits, 401k, unfortunately at my work level I didn't have enough income or free time to use many said benefits.

Current Administrative Assistant in Fort Worth, Texas

The worst thing about the benefits package at American Airlines is that the coverage is declining

Former Marketing Analyst in Dallas, Texas

No paid maternity leave, flight benefits are great but you fly standby which can be taxing a times

if you don't mind get stuck in the airport sometimes and most of time can't travel in peak seasons, then it provide good flight benefit.

Vacation time offered is non-negotiable and not too great for new employees, the only way to get additional vacation time is by working there longer. Pretty standard medical, dental, matching 401K. Flight benefits are great if you have the time. Maternity leave is unpaid, not so great.
