BB&T offers an exceptional overall benefits package including an exceptional pension plan as well we 401(k), and a myriad of other benefits. It can't be beat!

BB&T has a great 401k program. In addition their health plans were very good.

Great 401k matching ratio.Opportunity to lower health costs by joining health plan

401k matching is a plus, but once downside is a limited amount of mutual funds to choose from. Self directed brokerage options are available however.

Health insurance is terrible but 401k has a 6% match

The best thing about BB&T benefits is that you're eligible for them starting at 20 hrs/week. The worst thing is that, even though the company helps you and provides you with a wellness incentive that helps defray the cost, the health insurance is almost cost-prohibitively expensive. Half my paycheck goes to my health insurance premium.

Best: 6% 401k match, life force paid health benefits

Worst: 10 starting days vacation for first 5 years, one week needs to be taken consecutively, pension is OK but they constantly hold it above your head to make you perform. It's really not that great. 5 years to qualify 10 to be fully vested. College reimbursement for masters of and only if you are performer and vice-president level
