    DRS has a great insurance program. Depending which department your in there are some percs. If you are in the FSR department the company pays 100% of your insurance including all your dependents. They are going to stop doing that in 2015 and make the FSR's pay what everyone else does. Which is about $140 a month for employee and spouse.

    The benefits package at DRS is excellent. It included Health/Dental/Vision Insurance and included Life and Long Term Disability Insurance. The company matches 401k contributions up to 6%. 100% tuition reimbursement and also covers textbooks. They are proactive with in-house training and certifications as well as sponsoring off-site training in technology, business initiatives like Six Sigma, and management.
    They have a 9/80 workweek schedule and give paid time-off days instead of sick time and vacation that increases with years of service.

    9/80 work schedule gives you every other Friday off and the extra hour on the other days is hardly noticed. Excellent 401k plan.

    Health insurance is competitive and a lot of times better. Very flexible network. Vision plan could be better for me just because my doc is out of network. 401k and matching is good. Flexible PTO is offered instead of vacation. Bonuses are possible for certain jobs and high performance. Participant in Microsoft Home Use Plan for cheap software. Offers a lot of corporate and local business discounts.
