Benefits are great! I have taken advantage of affordable health and dental.

Low vacation time for the first two years (and you can't take any of it until six months in). Great health plans and disability insurance, though. Also, on-campus lunch, while not free, is heavily subsidized and very delicious.

Best is the sabbatical, assuming you are around long enough to receive it. Worst is the Mutual Arbitration agreement that is required to work there regarding any disagreement having to do with pay.

Good basic options for health care and dental. 401k is fine but their matching policy is nebulous at best. You've gotta be at the company for 5 years to get your sabbatical, which is fairly uncommon though not unheard of. Other than that, benefits are pretty stingy for a company that size. No on-site gym or day care.

Our health insurance is off the chain. You walk into the doctors office and walk out, no questions asked. The compensation is cost of living adjusted from San Francisco, so it's comparable.
