Vacation is very good at General Motors. I started in September and I got 2 weeks for the calendar year and 3 weeks for the following calendar year. Other benefits are quite competitive also.

Great health benefits at a very reasonable price. 401K plan is also offered. A few folks who joined before 1988 also have pension. Life insurance is also reasonably priced. Vehicle discounts for employees. Also tuition coverage for classes at local universities.

Great variety of benefits. However, variable pay structure is so complicated one can not assume you will receive any from year to year. Meanwhile UAW workers are guaranteed $$$ and it's an exact number. Health benefits are better than most, retirement is ok for new hires.

Overall - above average. Minimum 3 weeks vacation and ~16 holidays (which includes xmas-new year shutdown). 4% 401K match and company automatically contributes another 4%. Basic health is reasonable but high deductible plan but company offers $1500 incentive to help offset. No stock purchase. Bonuses are based on company and individual performance multipliers against your base % which is dependent on grade level.
