Worst part is that they failed to give the paternity leave until way past the time I could have used it. My son was born, and I was told to show up for work within 2 hours or I would lose my job.

Only 2 wks paid maternity - shocking!! I don't know how that can be rated as "very good" especially as compared to other companies in the valley

For a technology company in the Bay Area, maternity/paternity leave benefits are embarrassing. While Google and Facebook offer 4-6 month fully paid leaves for both men and women, Intuit "generously" offers 2 weeks of paid leave for both new moms and dads. Other than that, it's disability and state benefits. This is a big shock to new employees at the company, many who joined because it is known for being a family friendly place to work. Even the executives weren't aware of our lack of paid maternity leave and were surprised to learn of it.

Follows California state program which is a benefit for many employees who live in other areas of the US.
