Vacation, great 401K match, health insurance that is competitive

The health benefits were actually decent compared to other places I'd worked. As a part-time associate, you just have to maintain a work schedule of at least 15 hours per week. If you drop below that, your benefits die. The discount was pretty good, too. Whenever there was a coupon out for customers, we were able to combine it with our employee discount.

Well kohls gives great discounts and you get a lot of benefits like dental and vision

The insurance package is competitive and a Kohls is putting an emphasis on their healthy rewards program. The healthy rewards program partners with their benefits to lower your insurance cost by rewarding you for taking steps to become healthier.

Health care plan options are average policies at higher costs.

    401k is good for me

There is very little choice provided when it comes to the 401K options; basically you pick your retirement year at that's it.
I get full health care, vision, and dental for an average price.
The associate discount is great, but dangerous too as you end up giving a big chunk of your paycheck back to Kohl's. Basically you always have 15% off anything, no exceptions even if the item has coupon exceptions. There are special associate appreciations days during which the associate discount jumps up to 35% off. You can use % and dollar off coupons on top of your associate discount so it can be a really amazing deal. There are also especial sales days where you are allowed to stack percent coupons and use your associate discount.

Vacation and benefits are available to full time associates. Recently Kohl's changed their policy, and corporate has decided to take away vacation and benefits from part timers. Only after 3+ years working with them will you be given "some" vacation time.
401k account can be opened after working 1000 hours either within your first year or after.

If you are part-time there are no benefits. Kohl's, as of Feb. 2015 took the vacation time and 3 personal days off, from all part time employees. They had already taken any health benefits away. Most employees don't even know this because they sent a little folded flyer in the mail that just looked like an ad. However those employees that have worked longer than 12 years are being grandfathered in and get to keep their vacation time. Really sucks when you've been there 10 or 11 years and don't make the cut. Yet Kohl's supposedly values their employees. Well "actions speak louder than words" and I know personally that moral and work ethic has taken a hit. Most employees don't complain because we know there's nothing we can do about it. Obviously Kohl's could care less about their employees. So if you want a 15% discount that's about the only benefit unless you have one of the few full time positions.
