The health insurance doesn't cover ER trips until you've reached your yearly out of pocket maximum. Two weeks vacation after your first year, 401k matching, and 15% off the purchase of Lowe's stock. Full-time employees also have a tuition reimbursement program if they attend college.

Affordable health insurance. Vacation time is pretty easy to get excluding holidays.

Full time employees received up to 4 weeks vacation, more if you have been there 32 holiday hours that you can use like a vacation day. They match you dollar for dollar up to 5 percent into your 401k. You receive bonuses 4 times a year if you store meets criteria.

Overall, decent benefits during my time here

The benefits package is the best thing about working at Lowes. Especially the 401k that match's a percentage up to 6%.

Dental seems much more expensive that other companies I have worked for but is not any better. Lowe's matches your 401k contributions at 100% up to 3%, at 6% they contribute 4.25%. Not great coverage for mental health treatments like anxiety.

High cost of Family Health Insurance

  • Dec 11, 2014
    Current Employee in Austin, Texas

worst thing is you can only take 9
vacation days at a time no matter how many you have built up to and the vacation days don't roll over.
You get several Holiday pay days and can redeem for cash at the end if you want.

Employees get 10% off discount. The benefits are very good

Accrued, paid time off for part-time employees is great. Bonuses are nice, even as a part-time employee. 10% employee discount is good, although I wish it was a little more.
Health insurance for part-time employees isn't very affordable.
