Great benefits for both full and part time employees. Medical, dental, vision, short/long term, life, critical illness, accident, the list goes on and on. Vacation starts accruing at 6 months which I think is fair. You can go in the negative. 401k matches at 4.25% and employee stock purchase plan allows employees to purchase stock at 15% below value 2x per year. 10% employee discount. Free flu shots and preventative health screenings. Possibility for quarterly bonuses. Fair pay for retail. Does not pay min wage for ANY job.

The company has a good benefits package with a 401K, restricted stock incentives for management, stock purchase plan, competitive health, dental and optical coverage, and flexible spending accounts for health and child care. The challenge for any retail company is holiday's and vacation time. There are 6 recognized holiday's with only two of them being 'fixed' (Christmas and Thanksgiving). The remaining holiday's are floating and much of the staff is expected to work to support the stores. Lowe's also requires a 15 year commitment to obtain 4 weeks vacation.

Once an employee is Full time the benefits package is very generous; 401K, company match up to 4.3% of 6% of employee participation, dental, vision, health, life insurance, and more.

HR told me that for family the health insurance is very expensive, for the employee it is reasonable.

Very Well thought out package for full time associates. Part time associates are provided health benefits as well, which does not happen often at other companies.

For being a large company, it seems very organized and employees are very friendly. The company definitely has some great workers who are willing to help and watch you grow. Benefits sound enticing, but they are just "OK." Only 1 week paid vacation for the first year, then 2 weeks paid vacation after the 1st year. Biggest con: Retail hours/no work-life balance.
