Employee Comments

  • Feb 3, 2015
Current Software Development Engineer in Boston, Massachusetts

    Best thing: pension
    Worst thing: HDHC plan

  • Feb 28, 2015
    Former Employee in Jacksonville, Florida

They cut the pension plan and created a 401k. The health insurance package is poor but costs a chunk.

  • Jan 22, 2015
    Current Employee in Springfield, Massachusetts

Tuition reimbursement is great! Flexible work arrangements, insure Starbucks, cafe, dry cleaning, hair salon, gym, tons of discounts too.

  • Feb 19, 2015
    Former Agent in Jacksonville, Florida

Poor health coverage offering for an insurance company. The retirement plan isn't much either. The company doesn't offer much unless you are a top seller.

  • Feb 12, 2015
Current Registered Representative in Jacksonville, Florida

This is an insurance company that offers minimal insurance coverage with cost to you--even if you reach high sales. Beyond health coverage, you get a retirement account that is built on a portion of your sales and is vested after three years. Not much for perks.

  • Jan 20, 2015
Former Accounts Assistant in Seattle, Washington State

You have an option to purchase coverage at cost, and the commission is added to your total. Which can be a blessing and a curse.

  • Dec 16, 2014
    Current Employee in Phoenix, Arizona

Tuiton Reimbursment is good but up to management if you can use the benefit

  • Nov 19, 2014
    Former Employee in Memphis, Tennessee

Very good health insurance and ancillary benefits. I have no complaints about the package at all. 401(k) + Pension

  • Oct 19, 2014
    Current Employee in Boston, Massachusetts

The best thing about mass mutual is vacation and time off form the job so that i can enjoy time with my family

  • Sep 18, 2014
Current Financial Services Representative in Virginia Beach, Virginia

The benefits can be great, for the top 25% of employees each year. The threshold to receive benefits is too high for the majority of people.
