Current Account Executive in New York, New York State

Salary is good. Benefits we surprising, as I transition after the Affordable Care Act went into effect. Given that, it was an insurance payment thing that surprised me on my medication purchases.

Current Inside Sales Representative in Plano, Texas

All of the benefits seem to be on par with any other corporate company within the same technical/computer space.

    Former Employee in Englewood, Colorado

One of the best things I liked was taking one day off each quarter that did not take away from vacation or sick days.

Former Administrative Assistant in Santa Clara, California

The worst thing was being brought on board, trained up and after 4 months LAID OFF. A general cull of about 20 people so that nobody at the top has to take a salary cut. Ensuring that those meetings in plush resorts can still take place.

401K match was awesome, vacation was planned ahead of time and mostly everyone was aware of the most appropriate times in regards to business close/important dates, to request days that would not interfere in their account management.

Pretty standard benefits lik most companies

Worst part about it is everything

Tuition Assistance was a nice plus...especially when individual classes can run in excess of $2000 each! Cap at the time was $5k per year.

Benefits package is okay. Health insurance premium has continued to go up, despite quality of package decreasing (though creatively packaged to make us thing it's not 'worse' - just 'different)

Employee Stock plan is a great deal.

Partial gym membership re-embursement is nice. Free pop, free breakfast 1x/week. Free popcorn 2x week.

Non-support positions often work from home (most developers have at least 1x/day at home) -- support has a very archaic director (quite good aside from this one issue) who doesn't believe in doing support remotely, so support is in the office 5x/week and on holidays.

McAfee is a fully owned subsidiary of Intel - but their benefits are not as good as Intel's. McAfee's cost to employee and out of pocket costs are higher than Intel's. McAfee provides HSA with high deductible plan, so thats good.
They are not as generous as Intel when it comes to stock grant. They also don't have the deferred compensation plan for retirement or the 60 day sabbatical every 6 years. McAfee gives you 1 floating holiday every quarter, in addition to 10 or so annual holidays.
