Paychex works hard to deliver an exception benefits & perks package.

Current Corporate Recruiter in Rochester, New York State

Paychex benefits are the best employee benefits plan I have ever had.

  • Oct 10, 2014
Current Talent Acquisition in San Ramon, California

Best thing is once you figure out the portal and all of the different places to click and confirm and passwords, etc. The benefits are great. Paychex pays a large percentage of the premium.

It's all the best.....great medical, dental, FSA, 401(k), wellness, and preventative care. There's an amazing Shape Up program to support healthy living in a team environment. Great employee assistance programs, tuition reimbursement, and employee discounts.

Current Employee in Los Angeles, California

Great benefits, and a 401(k) available from day 1. Employee contribution to benefits is low cost.

Former HR Solutions in Hartford, Connecticut

The Benefits are great, the downside is you can't use your vacation. When you do take vacation you are heavily scrutinized for taking time off because it's money lost by not being in the field. Burn out is very easy in this role. There really is no down time. You wake up and it's PAYCHEX till you go to sleep. Not for the faint of heart!

Paychex has comprehensive benefits including health care, 401(k), vacation time, personal days. They even offer an adoption reimbursement and Hyatt Legal Plan. I found the Hyatt Legal Plan to be a great benefit.

Health Insurance is extremely affordable as the company pays 75% of premiums. I would like them to offer a HDHP option with HSA. The 401k fund line up doesn't perform all that well (fidelity) - This could use improvement. Dental (Metlife) is out of network for most family dental offices. the Prescription drug coverage is absolutely amazing! My prescriptions have never been so cheap.

Best - how complete it is.
    Worst - no retiree medical

  • Sep 8, 2014
Current Employee in Lake Mary, Florida

Best thing is flexibility, but the cost is larger than what I feel is beneficial. Health Insurance is better the closer you are to corporate as not all benefits packages apply in all locations
