Current VP in New York, New York State

While the company offers a comprehensive package of benefits, recent years have seen aggressive cost cutting and risk shifting to employees. The defined benefit pension scheme was closed to new entrants several years ago, and now old-timers are being pushed to move over to the 401k. In 2015, for the first time only high-deductible health plans will be offered, significantly increasing costs to employees who use health services. The company cites "inability to maintain competitiveness" as the reason for these changes, however the general health of income and earnings growth would tend to belay that.
