I like Sprint's benefits package. I wish the health benefits were more affordable, but I think that's an issue everywhere.

Sprint's employee benefits always seemed fair and competitive in the marketplace. Healthcare options were fair and provided good, comprehensive coverage. The pension went was frozen in 2005, which was too bad.

The best thing about sprints benefits package is they have many medical insurance options suitable for different lifestyles. They offer severely discounted wireless service for employees and up to 20 friends and family members. The down side of that is the employee is responsible for those members and if your friends or family are not trustworthy it could potentially leave you with damaged credit. The 401k company match and stock options are great ways to prepare for your financial future. Paid time off and sick time are generous but good luck using them if you work retail! Management is demanding and does not care about employee outside obligations. My time off request for a very important life event was denied for no reason. I had to call in and take an attendance write up to get the day off when I am normally never late or absent and requested the time off over 6 weeks in advance!

The company has ok benefits but whenever I sick I've been asked to get a doctors note which doesn't bother me if my doctor didn't bill me $100 on the mail later on. I've been with the company for 3 years and I was told randomly when having terrible pneumonia that I didnt have insurance coverage for the doctor visit. Now also Take I to effect that I'm the only on my insurance so I'm speaking for how the family benefits work.
