Strong package of benefits. Not much left out.

Free Norton products for employees, discounts on other products like Microsoft, Apple, CDW, cell plans. Excellent medical, dental, vision coverage. Tuition reimbursement program, gym membership reimbursement.

Stock options for performance was a great incentive.

Although costing more now (like everywhere), the breadth and depth of benefits continue to be very good: terrific medical, dental, vision and wellness options are provided. Everything from adoption to laser eye surgery and legal. The employee costs are quite low compared to the value. Onsite gym (brand new) in Mountain View is amazing and includes cruiser bikes to take out and trail ride. Matching donations and donations for time volunteering. :) - No sabbaticals, mandatory year-end holiday shut down (and this year an unexpected Labor Day shut down).

The benefits are actually very good.

Competitive package but benefits not flexible enough

Current Executive Assistant in Mountain View, California

Good medical, dental, vision benefits, tuition reimbursement, vacation etc. Recent decision to force US employees to take an additional mandatory PTO-unsure if that will continue.

Current Netbackup Technical Support Engineer in Lake Mary, Florida

Benefit contributions continue to rise year after year

  • Oct 15, 2014
Former Employee in Mountain View, California

The benefits package is the best I've had, especially the VSP. The only way they could improve would be to fully match 401K

Symantec offers bonus/profit sharing, restricted stock units, 401K, excellent work/life balance and great healthcare.
