    At my school they offer health, dental, and vision benefits to full time employees after 90 days of probation is over. They pay for 50% of the cost per pay check for myself as an individual. They also offer 59% off of child care if yiur child attends, however, because each school is franchised it may differ from school to school. They offer us a 401k through our payroll, but do not contribute any % towards it, so whats the point. There are PTO days offered, however 10 of those are paid holidays that the school is closed for and you only have 5 to use at your own descretion. It would be nice to use those 5 for a paid summer vacation, however, if you call off sick or have to take a day of bereavement, they use your PTO. Unpaid days off after you have used your PTO are not gaurunteed, so don't get sick before summer, or you may have swallowed up all of your time off for the year (I contracted the stomach flu from our students 3 times in the last year.) The school is closed between Christmas and New Years which is nice, but I'd rather they be open so I can have 5 more days of PTO to use for myself at my descretion. They offer professional development days, however they don't count towards act 48 to keep your certificate active. You have to seek that yourself. Also, no tuition reimbursement, no paid maternity leave, no volunteer time off. No other perks that I can think of. Compared to other schools and companies, in my opinion, the benefits are a bit midieval. Considering the pay isn't great ($12/hour), I think franchisers should offer more competitive benefits if they want to attract qualified teachers long term.
