They use to be better, more hands on training now everything is done by computer. The company still does well though.

I came with an AA in Kitchen Design, but I found that what I learned in Home Depot's Distance Learning classes was much better laid out and taught.

Start with weeks of computer classes. Need of more one-on-one.

the training is done, first on the computer, in an application called Knowledge Depot, where there are hundreds if not thousands of different, department specific, and generalized training modules, when a class, or module, is completed it goes on your "transcript", I think this is a great system, because then any member of management can check and see all of your completed classes at any time, so they can see if you are qualified before asking you to complete a task, or check to see what you have trained for, when putting in for a promotion or transfer. After you complete the necessary computer based training, there are "In Aisle Assessments" for all dept.'s... To summarize, I believe this is as good a standardized training program as I have seen or heard of.

Training is in depth and great but sometimes rushed.
