Can be tiring. Have to sit a computer to watch videos. Before, they used to send you to stores and vendors to train onsite.

Former Garden Associate in New Albany, Indiana

They give a lot of computer training and want you to work as many departments as possible weather you feel convertible or not.

Current greeter in Los Angeles, California

Pretty well trained and well informed.

  • Nov 14, 2014
Current Retail Sales Associate in Houston, Texas

One of the only things done right is the in-depth information you get on your department, so you know what you're supposed to be selling.

A lot of computer training but no real world experience unless you get lucky and have an old construction worker who can show you things.

It was great in the beginning. At my last store with a department supervisor that would come and interrupt when ever she could it became difficult to complete the program. Be assured the company has made some changes that are going to hurt the customer service.

Training is detailed and high quality! If you ever get coverage on the sales floor to take advantage of it, that is. And if they haven't tried to substitute a computer class for an interactive experience.
