At Zappos, we give you the creative freedom and autonomy to follow your passions in a way that suits you best. We don’t promote work/life balance in the traditional sense, rather we believe in “work/life integration.” We like having a good time at work, not just outside of it. There’s no need to hide your random quirks or awkward dance moves from us. In a way, you might be taking a “break from life” by working here!

Company perks are great: discounts for local businesses, dedicated discount-finding Helperz team, on-site facilities, subsidized food and coffee.

Great Health Benefits. Snacks and lunch provided. High productivity standards that have to be met, or you are out.

What to say beyond the fact that, oh my gosh, IT'S FREE for the employee! The do offer dependent coverage at an amazing discount.

Great wellness incentives! Reimbursement for endurance events, no copay for preventive care, and onsite screenings and flu shots are some of the highlights.

Best thing about Zappos benefits is the health insurance, it has amazing coverage and is free to the employee.

Awesome employee discount, very good health insurance with no premium. Lacking the perks of most internet/ecommerce companies.

Zappos has very robust traditional benefits (medical, dental, vision, etc). However, it is stubbornly stuck on the mindset that all employees need to have the same benefits package instead of letting the labor market dictate what benefits need to be given to different roles.

A merchandising or customer care employee may be motivated by different sets of benefits than a finance or technology employee, but that conversation cannot even be had before it gets shut down in the name of "not being in line with our culture".

Full benefits that don't come out of my pocket dental and vision not so great.

One of the best things about working for Zappos was their amazing Health Benefits. I rarely had to pay out of pocket for any doctor visits or prescriptions. It was acceptable to occasionally work from home for certain roles, but not on a regular basis. Most holidays are paid, not enough paid vacation days or sick time. Employees get 40% off anything on the site and can give anyone a 20% off coupon.
