    The PTO / Flex vacation time was generous. The cell phone discounts were attractive.

    Verizon offers an awesome health insurance package and you even get a huge credit off it if you don't smoke. Unfortunately they entice you with and provide such an awesome health insurance package to lure you in and pretty much keep you there since it's such a horrible place to work. Higher quotas and next to impossible to actually hit them now which means your pay gets less and less per year meanwhile you're under constant pressure and stress you're going to be fired for not hitting their quotas.

    6% Match on 401k, Few thousand a year in profit sharing though now they stick it in Verizon Stock. 6,000 a year for College is probably one of the better aspects, with good corporate discounts it's easy to work towards your degree without going into debt. Worst part of the benefits was when they converted our VAR's to a regular % bonus. VAR's worked like stocks so several people who started in 2000 were able to cash out 40,000+ a few years later, even those of us who came on in other years were able to pay off cars. Now we have a 12% bonus with modifier that suspiciously seems to be below 100% no matter how good the company does. They do pay 80% of medical costs. About 2k a year for a family of 4.

    Overall insurance package is very competitive, offer health, dental, and prescription coverage. 401k changed a few years back and they are eating away at profits with administrative fees.

    The benefits can't be beat. Tuition assistance on the day you start your job. You get company discounts and great health care benefits.
