The standard employee discount is 10% on all non-consumable purchases. Beginning in mid-November through January 1st the discount is extended to all purchases except for fuel, alcohol, tobacco and milk (due to USDA regulations).

15% on only certain things is hardly noticeable.

What was available for the 10% discount was spotty. You could get some chips, but the fruit and veggies weren't allowed. You couldn't get a frozen pizza, but could get it on soda. Some of the non-food items were allowed and some weren't, and there isn't a list of what was included, just didn't know until you swiped your card. There were some common sense things that you couldn't get it on like hot food, but you could get it on liquor. There didn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it.

The discount really adds up. It is usually only on general merchandise and not grocery. However, they do give you discounts on fresh produce which is nice, but I would have loved to have a discount on all groceries.
