Employee Comments

    Former Employee in Boise, Idaho

Great medical and dental benefits--tolerable deductible, but my monthly premium was incredibly low: $30+ per paycheck for both me and my spouse.

  • Jan 14, 2015
    Former Employee in Philadelphia, Mississippi

No copay was required for doctor visits.

Excellent benefits. 401K, Full insurance and pension (not sure if it exists for new employees

High deductible plan that covers medical, dental, and vision. Includes an hsa with a $200 or $400 company contribution as long as you fill out a health survey given by the insurance company. 401k matching 30 cents on the dollar.

Former Employee in Charlotte, North Carolina

Weyerhaeuser offers a great competitive benefits package.

  • Dec 18, 2014
Current Senior Software Developer in Denver, Colorado

Health insurance is a high deductible plan, that's the best thing if you don't need to use health insurance and it's the worst thing as soon as you do need to use it.

Benefit package used to be an intentional strength of the company, but have slowly been dropping out most elements so that they are only basic. High deductible health care plan, no pension - just the 401k, no longer pay for your cell phone, no fitness supplement.

  • Nov 5, 2014
Former Customer Service Manager in Seattle, Washington State

Best was the vacation allocation for time of service was good compared to others.

Worst is the medical plan for retired employees. it was eliminated in 2012.

Former Senior Engineer in Federal Way, Washington State

Decent, but eroding over time, e.g., pension accrual and 401(k) match were reduced drastically a few years ago. For employees hired after 2013, pension is replaced by an unmatched company deposit to the 401(k). Some historical benefits have been somewhat replaced by an Annual Incentive Plan that has paid out more reliably than past incentive plans.

Over the past few years, things have been taken away, however I think benefits are still quite good. Those who started before 2014 are in the pension plan and those who started in 2014 get a yearly kick in the 401k that is good.
