I applied through a recruiter and the process took a day - interviewed at Aéropostale in May 2011.

Interview Details – The interview sucked. They didn't give us a chance to introduce ourselves and display who we really are. They asked us retarded questions. Honestly, stores like this, Hollister, and Abercrombie only hire people if they have "the look" if you don't, then you're jjust wasting your time

The process took a day - interviewed at Aéropostale in October 2009.

Interview Details – Aeropostale sent me an e-mail informing me of their recruitment day in stores. I showed up and filled out an application and once I gave it to the manager, she gave me a date for an interview the week after. For the group interview, we congregated in the backroom where she asked us questions. Since none of us had any prior work experience, she skipped questions geared towards experience. It was only about 10 minutes long with 4 people. They gave us a call regardless if we got the job or not, and needless to say both my friend and I did not get it.

Interview Question – Give me an example of a time where you had to work as a group to get something accomplished.   Answer Question

I applied in-person and the process took a day - interviewed at Aéropostale.

Interview Details – I called the store to see if they were hiring and they told me to come in and get an application in the store. Moments after picking it up a manager asked me if I could join a group interview the following Monday at 3. I said yes and asked if I should bring a resume, and he said just 2 recommendations with the application! so I went in about 255 on Monday with both in hand and there were three other applicants. Once we all got together we sat in a sitting area in the mall, he asked us our names, what school, grade we are. I was the only one over 18. and our favorite band. it was obvious right then that this job isn't meant for full time, it's perfect for high school students; mainly because the employer mentioned that some people work once a month. so we finished the interview with greeting, questions, an picking one outfit that represented our style.

I applied in-person and the process took 1 week - interviewed at Aéropostale in November 2010.

Interview Details – I was hired 3 years ago as a walk-in seasonal associate at the Jersey Gardens outlet store. There was no interview, I filled out my application and required hiring paperwork that day, and came back in for an orientation two days later.

Interview Question – I didn't have a formal interview. Before I was promoted I was required to do a lot of challenging things and push myself out of my comfort zone to prove myself.   Answer Question

I applied in-person and the process took 2 days - interviewed at Aéropostale in March 2014.

Interview Details – I applied in person, and they set up a group interview for the next day. It was pretty relaxed, there were two other people there. The interviewer asked about five questions then took us back to the store. At the store, we had to create two outfits, one for girls and one for guys. We were also asked to replenish a section, which means like folding clothes and making it look presentable.

I applied in-person and the process took 4+ weeks - interviewed at Aéropostale.

Interview Details – I applied in-person and got a call after about a month. I was asked to come into the store for a group interview the next evening and was told to wear what I thought I would wear on my first day of work. There were five of us being interviewed and we were spit up. I went with two others to the back room where the manager asked us each three questions. It was very casual and relaxed. Once that was finished, we went up to the front and switched with the other group. There, we roll played with the assistant manager. They were a parent shopping for a child or teen and we had to demonstrate our "sales skills". Then, we had to pick out an outfit, male or female, and "sell" it to the assistant manager. It was really relaxed and fun. The two managers explained their dress code and when we should hear from them.

Interview Question – Name a time when you had to do a lot of work quickly and it had to be done 100%.   Answer Question

I applied in-person and the process took 2 weeks - interviewed at Aéropostale in June 2013.

Interview Details – Got a callback for an in-person interview about a week after I applied. The interview was with a small group of about four other applicants, right in the store. It was very laid-back, and the questions were easy. I made the mistake of wearing my nose ring to the interview (they don't allow facial piercings), but I made sure to explain that I'd be willing to take it out for the job.

The process took a day - interviewed at Aéropostale in March 2009.

Interview Details – The interview was really easy. It was a group interview with 2 other girls. Just asked the basic sales associate questions. Like why aeropostale, what would you do if a customer was being difficult. That kind of thing.

I applied in-person and the process took a day - interviewed at Aéropostale in August 2010.

Interview Details – I walked in, and the vibe was very comfortable. The staff was warm and friendly towards me and kept asking me questions and making jokes while I waited for the manager to give me my interview. I ended up waiting about 15 minutes, which turned out not to be their fault because the other girl who was supposed to interview with me called and said she would be 10 minutes late for the interview, but she never showed. So, instead of having a group interview as intended, it turned out to be just me. I interviewed the the store manager and the assistant manager. I was quite nervous but they were very friendly towards me. The questions were easy and they seemed to actually want to get to know me. Just make sure you're up to date on the current fashions, and know how to deal with basic customer service. They gave me a couple scenarios about different customers and how I could help them. Overall, it was a good experience. Later, when I was shaking their hands, I noticed YES! written on my paper, so I'm fairly sure I will get the job. They do a background check before they call you.
