    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at A.C. Moore (White Marsh, MD).

    Interview

Applied online, got a call two days later asking to set up an interview. The interview is one-on-one with the general manager. They will ask you what kind of hobbies you have, list off anything crafty you do, even if you only did it once a hundred years ago; they will love you. They will explain they are looking for very friendly faces because nothing we sell is a basic necessity, therefore customers could always choose not to shop here. They want customers to shop here, so they want the friendliest people they can find. This is not something they will budge on, if you're not a smiler you won't be hired. Smile a lot! The GM literally read off of the recommended questions list sent from corporate, no curve ball questions, nothing too serious. Was told I got the job right there, and asked to do an online background check. GM wrote down the schedule he wanted me to work that week and what the uniform was and sent me on my way.

    Average Interview

    Application

I applied in-person. The process took a week. I interviewed at A.C. Moore (Raleigh, NC) in May 2015.

    Interview

I came in, asked for an application, went home to fill it out and returned the next day. Note: I asked for the manager when I returned it, greeted them in a friendly manor, and waited for them to dismiss me instead of handing to them and just leaving. About a week later I was called in for an interview. I went to the front desk and asked for the manager again. They came up to greet me and took me to a back room. They were super friendly and asked me first about myself/ my interests before covering a few things that were on my application. All in all it was probably a 20 min discussion.

    Application

I applied in-person. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at A.C. Moore in May 2015.

    Interview

Filled out an application and dropped it off at the store in person. Got a call the next day and was asked to explain my work experience a bit more in depth. Asked about how many hours I would be willing to work. They asked me to come in for an interview the next day. Actual interview was formal but relaxed. Interviewer read to me a brief description of the company including some pros and cons of being an employee with A.C. Moore. Then we moved onto the questions--all very standard ones read from a booklet. Was told how to fill out a background check application online. The next week got a call back with an offer and accepted. If you can work a lot of hours that's a definite plus in their view.

    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at A.C. Moore.

    Interview

It was a very straight forward process. They called me after reviewing my application to schedule an interview at the store I applied for. On the day of the interview, they had told me to meet with a person who was not there. Another manager took over my interview. They asked about past experience and how that would help me in the store. He said they'd run a background check before giving me the job, so I came back in a few days after taking an assessment online and they offered me a position.
