Power Systems Engineer Interview

Power Systems Engineer
South Bend, IN

I applied online and the process took 2 weeks - interviewed at AEP in October 2012.

Interview Details – Applied online via company website. First on-site interview confirmed by phone two weeks later. On-site, met with two engineering managers and an HR representative. The interview was roughly twenty minutes, and a decision was promised within a week. The atmosphere was clinical and professional, and I was one of three candidates being interviewed that day of a total pool of six. The actual reply came back two weeks later.

Logistics Coordinator Interview

Logistics Coordinator
Chesterfield, MO

I applied in-person and the process took 4+ weeks - interviewed at AEP in August 2011.

Interview Details – Applied for the position and got a call to come in for an interview within the next week. The HR manager was very nice and followed up with me a couple days before the interview. On interview day I was interviewed by HR, panel of managers for the segment that I would be working in, and the vice president. The interview process was quite easy, they make you feel at home and are very friendly. All questions were basic and mostly behavioral. Go in, be yourself, and you shouldn't have a problem.

Interview Question – How well do you adapt to change, please give me an example of a time when you adapted to change and how you handled the situation.   Answer Question

Engineering Intern Interview

Engineering Intern
Columbus, OH

I applied through college or university and the process took a day - interviewed at AEP in November 2009.

Interview Details – Very general Interview. Asked me what I knew about the company, why I was a better choice, and a time where I showed leadership. I was a freshman then, so she kept reiterating that they rarely hire freshmen. I pretty much knew my fate, but she still seemed pretty interested. A good first interview experience

Interview Question – Tell of a time that you showed leadership.   Answer Question
