District Manager Trainee Interview

I applied through college or university and the process took 2 weeks - interviewed at ALDI.

Interview Details – First required to attend an info session and then go through two rounds of interviews. First round lasted about 20 mins, some general questions about your interest in the company and position..etc. Second round, on-site interviews with different directors more in-depth then the first. Also gave a tour of an Aldi warehouse and store. Overall, very fast interview process and not really many unexpected questions. Everyone is pretty friendly and open to answering any questions you may have.

District Manager Interview

I applied through college or university and the process took 3 weeks - interviewed at ALDI in February 2014.

Interview Details – Aldi came to the campus job fair and accepted resumes online. For those selected for interviews, the first step was a pre-interview dinner, which was an hour long meet and greet/information session to learn about the position and ask questions. The next day was a 20 minute interview. Those selected attend a final interview day at a distribution center to meet with the VP, DMs, etc. Full day, tours and 3 interviews.

Interview Question – Very basic interview questions, they are basically looking for a personality type: LEADERS   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – No negotiation. You can look up the salary online, it's the same across the board.

Interviewed at ALDI

Interview Details – Went to a job fair that was help 6am...the manager just took the resume and said thank you but based on my experience as an Aldi manager I would recommend that anyone that is interested always dress business ready. That first impression is what Aldi DMs go for...anyway...if you are called back for an interview...the first interview is a group interview....after the group interview if you are lucky you will be called back for another one in which you meet with store manager and dm.

Cashier Interview

I applied in-person and the process took 2 weeks - interviewed at ALDI.

Interview Details – The interview began with a history overview of my previous jobs. Why I left each job was the focus. After the interview there was drug testing and a pretty basic orientation that taught the ALDI culture and the focus on accuracy, speed, and teamwork with employees. If you display focus and team building abilities you should be fine.

Interview Question – Have you ever used marijuana was asked repeatedly. I answered professionally but it was annoying to be interrogated.   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – There is no negotiation on the pay. To get a raise I believe you must become a manager.

I applied in-person and the process took 2 weeks - interviewed at ALDI in February 2014.

Interview Details – I went to a hiring event and was the first one to show up. Go thirty minutes to an hour early, because these events are wildly popular. You should show up prepared with a completed application (available online at the aldi's website, obviously it should have neat handwriting, not dirty or folded), otherwise you will do it there, but honestly just do it beforehand. The district manager will take the application, and give a brief questionnaire gauging your ability + transportation, and informed they'll get back within a week if they're interested. Interview went very well, I think they were impressed with how knowledgeable I was of ALDI. also i emphasized how I had initiative. I had a second interview with a store manager who walked me around the store explaining how everything was ran.

Interview Questions

Negotiation Details – no negotiation, only discussing paid holidays, advancement opportunities and such.
