Application

I applied online. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at Abercrombie & Fitch (Anchorage, AK).

Interview

I signed up for an interview scheduled on a Tuesday at 4pm. I arrived about 7 minutes early and let them know I was there. It was supposed to be a group interview, but no one else appeared to be there for an interview. I mulled around the store until 4 and then I went to the front register area where the manager was showing an employee something on the computer. She asked me if there was anyway I could wait an extra 10 minutes and I said it was no problem. I just walked around the store and looked at merchandise for about 20 minutes...then the manager came and got me and we went and sat out at a table in the mall. We were joined by a manager-in-training at the table and they started by just asking a few general questions about me. The manager and I talked about the company and the changes the brand is going through right now. It went very well and lasted about 30 minutes or so. Before I left she said that if I didn't hear from them by the following Monday I should call. I got a call back the following Monday from another manager saying he wanted to offer me a job.

    Interview

Applied online, took a few days to call. Went for an interview on a Tuesday. Quick, 10 minutes. Took me outside the store and we sat on a couch. Supposed to be a group interview but I was the only one. Wouldn't let me know until Monday. And then wouldn't train me until Sunday... So like, 3 weeks.

    Application

I applied online. The process took a week. I interviewed at Abercrombie & Fitch (Cherry Hill, NJ) in June 2015.

    Interview

I applied online and chose a date to come in for a group interview. Apparently since I showed up early and was the only one that showed up so far that day, one of the guys working there interviewed me in the store and couldn't take me outside since there were no managers in the store. While the guy got the paper work for the interview I started talking to the other people that worked there and she was really sweet and friendly. You just want to seem like you can get along with all types of people. Also the interview consisted of like three questions and he offered me the job right away. I asked him that I might be going away in the fall for college and if I could transfer to a store there and he said yeah they would transfer you if you want to continue working.

    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Abercrombie & Fitch (Universal City, CA) in March 2015.

    Interview

The interview was super casual and I was interviewed with one other person. It lasted about 15 minutes and the questions that were asked were pretty simple questions that have the interviewer a sense of what kind of personality you have. I was called by my interviewer 2 days after my interview letting me know I got the job. If you're stuck on what to wear then I'd suggest visiting an Abercrombie store sometime before your interview and see what their employees are wearing and then dress like one of them for your interview. They're really just looking for someone who has a natural look, is outgoing, and pretty much looks like they should be working at Abercrombie.

Easy interview right in store. Grouped session. Expected to hire a lot of people due to turnover. Met with manager and assistant manager. We received a tour of the store, nothing in the back. All front store areas that customers are already familiar with. Fun people. Met new friends at interview.

I knew the Manager so I wasn't interviewed, but I've interviewed lots of people before and they have pretty standard questionnaire. 1. What would you bring to a deserted island? 2. Who is your celebrity crush? 3. Why do you want to work for Abercrombie? 4. What do you like about the brand? 5. Describe yourself in a few words. 6. What jobs have you worked previously?

    Interview

Short, unprofessional interview process. Group interviews, while efficient, often yield the same answers from every candidate. We were also all offered a job at the end of the interview, which I did not find professional at all. It was as if the interview was just a formality.

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Abercrombie & Fitch (Indianapolis, IN) in April 2010.

    Interview

The interview for a job here is very simple and not really based on your ability but rather your appearance. They will ask you maybe four or five questions that the corporate requires them to ask during interviews. If the manager interviewing you is interested in you, you will likely be able to tell by the way the describe the job to you. They will also probably ask you some extra questions that are not on their interview questionnaire form. The main questions that they will ask you that are required to be asked by corporate (at least that is the way it was when I did my interview in 2010) are: 1.) Describe yourself using three words. 2.) How would you describe our brand of clothing? 3.) What is diversity? 4.) Why is diversity in the workplace important? 5.) Why do you believe that we should hire you? Those are the basic questions that I remember them asking me. They also asked a couple of questions such as: Where do you go to school? What are you studying? Outside of work and school what do you enjoy doing? Have you had any previous jobs in the past? If so, what did you do at those jobs?

    Interview Questions

    • What is diversity and why is it important in the workplace?   1 Answer

    Negotiation

They called 3 days after the interview. They asked me to come in and fill out some paperwork. As this is an entry level job there were no negotiations.
