I interviewed through a recruiter - interviewed at Abercrombie & Fitch in March 2010.

    Interview Details

I was approached on campus about working for the company. They gave me a card that had the website info and password on it. They called to make sure I applied and then I set up my interview date. They have interviews every Tuesday and Friday. I went in and they interviewed me first. The questions were very simple and not hard at all. I dressed casual, jeans, flip flops, and a graphic tee from the store.

    Interview Questions
    • The most difficult questions would be what is diversity. They also asked questions like what three words would describe their store.   Answer Question

I interviewed through a recruiter. The process took 1 week - interviewed at Abercrombie & Fitch in November 2010.

    Interview Details

Group interview. Everyone gets an interview. Key is dress like them employees dress in the store, or similar. Most likely you've shopped here before and thats how you know about the job. If you applied 35% chance you get the job. If you were recruited by a manager 90% you get the job regardless of what you say as long as it's peppy.

    Interview Questions
    • Unexpected question is what I involved in at school if I was in school. They love students, especially ones in greek organizations. But most employees are not in greek organizations. 100% chance for hire if you are, but you will also be annoyed later by managers for you to ask your "brothers" or "sisters" to come work at Abercrombie and Fitch.   Answer Question

I was recruited. It was a casual, group interview. Prepare multiple answers to questions so that you do not say the same thing that someone else said.

I interviewed through an employee referral. The process took 2 days - interviewed at Abercrombie & Fitch in June 2012.

    Interview Details

Apply online or in-store and pick your own interview date and time from the selected. Interview is in a group - the manager asks a question in regards to Model candidates and we answer them one by one (good to listen to others so you can get an idea of what to say and what not to say). There is generally around 5 questions, how others describe you, a situation question, if you've ever worked in the company, how you would describe their brand of clothes, etc. Will call back almost immediately (few hours day-1 day) if hired.

    Interview Questions
    • One of the trickiest questions is when they ask the situation question - explain a certain time when you had to --- and how you handled it. You should think on your feet and answer without thinking for too long. Sometimes they ask how you would describe their clothing and it really tests you on how well you know the company.   Answer Question

Straight forward, typical minimum wage retail job. Nothing special, but you were allowed to schedule work based on your availability.
