Two phone interview which were pretty easy and asked questions like "when is an example when you did this..." They all were easily relatable to any internship or previous job. Then I had a 3 hour interview with an Analyst, Specialist, and Manager. This was a little more in depth, they wanted to see if I had experience that would make me a good fit for an Analyst position and to make sure I would be able to fit with the team.

Applied through my career center after attending a number of information sessions. I had a great perception of Accenture until my interview when my interviewer just watched me struggling with the case for 25 min without collaborating (I've gotten positive feedback/moved on/ received offers from my last 20+ case interviews so I can say this was not normal). All the questions after revolved around Accenture (e.g. what research have you done, how are our management and strategy practices different...)

The intial process began with a phone screening performed by a recruiter. The next step involved two over the phone interviews conducted by managers in different industries. Each were behavioral before presenting a case then follow-up questions.

    Interview Questions
    • There is no way to go 50/50 with 2 case interviews. You have to ace one and at least pull 75% on the other or vice versa. Unfortunately, one of the interviewers was incredibly difficult to work with on the case study via phone. The behavioral portion is incredibly straightforward and simple.   Answer Question

I applied through college or university. The process took 6 daysinterviewed at Accenture in October 2014.

Resume drop for OCR. Interviewees were invited to a social that helped us get to know the interviewers. First round was two one-hour, 1:1 interviews. In each, about 15 mins of behavioral ("tell me about a time you positively impacted society", etc) and the rest was a case. I was called that evening for final round the following day. Final round consisted of two hour long interviews, each 1:1. First was purely a case interview. Second was purely behavioral. All interviews were with executives - senior manager and above. All in all, everyone was extremely friendly (much more so than expected) and seemed genuinely interested in me. Nothing extremely challenging - just be prepared to defend any points made on your resume and have good stories. After doing final round on Friday, I received the offer the following Wednesday, making the whole process less than a week.

    Interview Questions
    • Nothing crazy - cases were not as hard as expected. One was M&A, one was related to risk management and final was related to pricing in healthcare industry. All interviewers were friendly and patient during the cases and all cases were made from their experiences.   Answer Question

    A 3 step process.

First, a phone screen with HR to go over your resume a bit in order to ensure that your skills match the role and that you truly have an interest in it.

Then, an hour long behavioral interview where you recall experiences from your past. I was asked four questions. It is best to use the STAR technique when answering these questions. The questions asked were: "Describe a situation where you had a good working relationship." "What is your most significant accomplishment?" "Name a situation in which you had to deal with a difficult coworker/teammate." "Have you ever been in a situation where you had a lot of assignments but a limited amount of time to complete them?"

The final step is an on-site interview in which you meet separately with 4 employees over about a 4 hour period. You meet with an analyst, a specialist, a project manager, and then another manager. The analyst simply asks you to speak a bit about yourself (run through your resume) and what you know about the company and the role. Then he/she will give you a detailed run through of the position. It is very important and it is expected for you to take notes. You'll be asked the same questions later about Accenture and the role, and your answer should constantly improve as the process goes on. They want to see that you can retain information and communicate it effectively. Then you meet with a specialist and he/she will ask scenario-driven position specific questions as well as follow ups to test your financial acumen (examples below). The next two interviews are just a run through of specific points on your resume. I was asked to explain some of my responsibilities in past internships and some extra curricular work. One thing I did notice is that there was a contrast in personalities between the managers. One was laid back and very informal while the other was stone-faced and very serious. So be prepared to handle conflicting personalities and always show that you have a deep interest in the role.

    Interview Questions
    • Specialist questions: "Name a time when you foresaw a problem." "Discuss a time where you conducted a financial analysis in order to discover an area in which a company could improve. What did you find?" "Have you ever done a budget or forecast?" "Discuss a time where you motivated a team or a group of individuals." "   Answer Question

Previous reviews on Glassdoor are all an accurate indication on how the process will be. I heard back 2 weeks after submitting my application online. The interview process is three steps. Step one is the initial phone screening with the recruiter who wants to assess what you know about the role and some background about you in regards to the experience and why you want to work for Accenture. After you pass that, step two is a situational interview. This will be done over the phone and will last 45-60 minutes depending on questions and follow-up questions/explanations. The interviewer will have 4 scheduled questions to ask and then based on the answers you give will ask additional follow-up questions. Just make sure you have strong work-related or academic examples to back up the questions. Prepare accordingly. Step three is the final round. This is where you come to the local Accenture office and get interviewed by an Analyst, a Specialist, and a Manager. The analyst is a peer interview, more based on your fit. The Specialist interview is a skills interview to make sure you have the required financial acumen to be successful in the role. The Manager interview is last and again is more based on whether you'd be a good addition to the team. From the time of first interview to last took approximately 2 and a half weeks.

Management Consultant Development Program - Business Analyst Interview

    Application Details

I applied through an employee referral. The process took a weekinterviewed at Accenture.

    Interview Details

I was internally referred by a friend of mine (how most candidates get interview opportunities), and set up two phone interviews. I thought that one would be behavioral, and the other would be a case interview. Instead, they were both case interviews. Accenture interviewers use personal consulting experiences to test your analytical skills and understand your thought process (so I can't guarantee that a different candidate will get a question anything like the ones described below).

    Interview Questions
    • The first case interview question asked how a corporation controlling 5 different businesses could consolidate the businesses. It was very important to ask questions to understand the components/departments of each business in order to reduce redundancies between businesses. It required asking a lot of questions to get more information about the businesses to make a decision.

The second interview question was about a company that was going to be sold within 18 months, and it's goal was to increase its value before being sold by reducing the cost of technical support. The interviewer asked how this company should do this, and what the implications those decisions would be. Again, it took a lot of questions in order to fully understand the situation, then analyze and propose a recommendation.

3 interviews- brief phone call, hour long phone call, 3-hour video conference interview. first phone call was easy about my resume. second was a behavioral interview (recall a time you were challenged, you foresaw a problem, etc-- they ask you to elaborate on everything you say and will ask more questions like "and how did that make you feel"). 3rd interview was over video (supposed to be in office but they don't pay for flights) with 4 different people. know info about accenture and about the position- everyone asked what the company does and what you know about the role you're applying for. be attentive and ask relevant questions. overall everyone was very friendly and easy to talk to

I applied online – interviewed at Accenture.

    Interview Details

Applied for the entry-level position in October 2013, contacted by a recruiter in January 2014. After a week of email communication, I had two case study phone interviews. The following week I was contacted (via telephone) for a final interview to be held two weeks later. The final interview consisted of a one hour breakfast/introduction with current analysts followed by one case study ~45 mins and a behavioral interview. Although I was not extended an offer, I had a very positive experience with most of the Accenture employees. HR was particularly helpful and professional.

I applied online. The process took 3 weeksinterviewed at Accenture in December 2013.

    Interview Details

I applied on Accenture's website (did not have a referral). I was contacted the following day by an Accenture recruiter and we arranged a first round intro interview for later in the week. I was then invited to participate in back to back case study interviews (each lasted about an hour) and were conducted over the phone. I was then invited to an in-person interview at an Accenture office, not the one I was interviewing for. The first interview of the day was a case interview and the second was a confirming interview to see if I was a match for the company. They offered me the position 2 days later.

    Interview Questions
    • The first case interview was analytical. It was basic math but the correct questions needed to be asked by me in order to come up with the correct revenue - estimate. Another case dealt with a domestic company looking to expand globally. You should be up to date on current economic news. The final case interview was less about problem solving and more about how you would handle difficult team environments and difficult clients. The confirming interview more of a laid back conversation with basic behavioral questions mixed in to help drive the conversation.   Answer Question
