I interviewed through an employee referral. The process took 2+ weeks - interviewed at Accenture in December 2011.

    Interview Details

Very rigid interview process, there are 5-6 interviews and final interview if face to face. Recruiter filters thru candidates then first and second level on the phone interviews. Then everything stops for couple of weeks. If they are interested then 3rd and 4th interviews. If they are not interested then no feedback is given.

I interviewed online. The process took 3 weeks - interviewed at Accenture.

    Interview Details

The initial interview - more like a routine screening than an actual interview - was very pleasant. I interviewed with a very nice Accenture employee and was looking forward to interactions with other Accenture employees. Unfortunately, the next interview was a case study with an employee who was arrogant about his case.

    Interview Questions
    • It's not so much about the difficulty of the case interview, but the ill fit between my area of expertise (people, talent, soft skills) and the topic for the case (heavy financial analysis and projection).   Answer Question

I interviewed through a recruiter - interviewed at Accenture in June 2014.

    Interview Details

Recruiter reached out to me for their People and Change practice. Had two short phone conversations with two recruiters about my background and career aspirations. This was followed by a 1-hour "technical" phone interview with a manager who asked me about my experience with business process mapping, building a business case, and current trends in HR technology. This was followed by an in-person interview with a Managing Director where we talked about my previous work experience and did a case. Final interview was another phone interview with a Senior Manager about "fit". The final interview was more of a conversation - I prepared several questions which became the bulk of the interview.

    Interview Questions
    • Case was very general about how to handle a finance transformation of an M&A -- no calculations, just had to make sure you cover your bases with a framework.   Answer Question

I interviewed through an employee referral. The process took 1 week - interviewed at Accenture.

    Interview Details

I was internally referred by a friend of mine (how most candidates get interview opportunities), and set up two phone interviews. I thought that one would be behavioral, and the other would be a case interview. Instead, they were both case interviews. Accenture interviewers use personal consulting experiences to test your analytical skills and understand your thought process (so I can't guarantee that a different candidate will get a question anything like the ones described below).

    Interview Questions
    • The first case interview question asked how a corporation controlling 5 different businesses could consolidate the businesses. It was very important to ask questions to understand the components/departments of each business in order to reduce redundancies between businesses. It required asking a lot of questions to get more information about the businesses to make a decision.

The second interview question was about a company that was going to be sold within 18 months, and it's goal was to increase its value before being sold by reducing the cost of technical support. The interviewer asked how this company should do this, and what the implications those decisions would be. Again, it took a lot of questions in order to fully understand the situation, then analyze and propose a recommendation.
