Senior Analyst - Research and Insights Division Interview

Senior Analyst - Research and Insights Division
Washington, DC

I applied through an employee referral and the process took a day - interviewed at Advisory Board in November 2012.

Interview Details – A friend of mine submitted my resume to HR with no request for a specific position. Several months later I received an email requesting to arrange a phone interview for a position as a Senior Analyst for their Research and Insights Division. The interview was a phone interview and asked pretty standard first-interview questions pertaining to education and experience. I was told that I would hear back one way or another within two weeks. I never heard back so I contacted them via email. Received no response. Finally, my friend who had submitted my resume contacted HR and they informed her that I was not selected to interview further. The next day I received an email from HR reaffirming the same. I was a little disappointed because the interview had gone very well and it seemed as if I were qualified for the position especially when it was HR who reviewed my resume and decided to interview me for the senior analyst position as opposed to me applying for the position.
