Benefits Consultant/District Sales Coordinator Interview

Benefits Consultant/District Sales Coordinator
Hazlet, NJ

I applied through a recruiter and the process took 1 week - interviewed at Aflac in October 2011.

Interview Details – The "informational meeting" that recruiters invite you to are just that: information on the Aflac spiel. It's 100% commission and they give you the song and dance about how you get to be "a mini-franchise" for Aflac. Essentially, you pay for everything yourself: schooling, merchandise, gas, etc. to be part of the team. However, you get about 45% of the close in your first year. They said the training is pretty much on the job and the first three weeks are training. Your first check is your first close. After that, you get renewal checks for your ongoing clients. Overall, a pretty decent product that will sell itself in the end, but the first year is cold-calling and calling up people in your former industry.

Interview Question – Why do you want to be part of the company?   Answer Question

Reason for Declining – Wasn't for me.
