Business Unit Leader Interview

Business Unit Leader
Seattle, WA

I applied online and the process took 3 weeks - interviewed at Amazon.com in April 2011.

Interview Details – I went through two rounds of interviews, both of which focused primarily on behavioral questions. Interviews were very straightforward, and the individuals I spoke with seemed very bright, engaging and passionate about their work and the company. Questions focused on collaboration, risk taking, learning from failure and critical thinking.

Through the interviews, I learned a lot about the career path and there is clearly a lot of mobility among their high potential employees. The organization seems very flat and entrepreneurial, and the people I interviewed had both been successful due to their ability to drive change in a very fluid environment.

Interview Question – There was a question that was loosely case based regarding how to approach a specific business situation.   Answer Question

Reason for Declining – Didn't want to relocate to Seattle.
