I applied online and the process took 2 months - interviewed at American Automobile Association (AAA) in March 2014.

Interview Details – I have had 2 interviews one over the phone and one at Triple AAA. I did not get hired; I was told if they want me to interview for a second time they will call me in about 2 to 3 weeks.

Interview Question – I thought the interview went well the questions were not hard at all. I did not get to tour the company and the interview only lasted about 30 minutes.   Answer Question

I applied through a recruiter and the process took 4+ weeks - interviewed at American Automobile Association (AAA) in March 2014.

Interview Details – Call from recruiter about job opportunity. Then there was a freeze for 3 weeks and no activity. Recruiter calls back and says they are still hiring (probably someone didn't work out). Setup a phone interview with hiring manager. He rambled on about the company, also about how he's trying to change things.

ERS Customer Advocate I Interview

I applied through a recruiter and the process took 3 days - interviewed at American Automobile Association (AAA) in February 2014.

Interview Details – I applied online, call a HR rep I had previously spoken with, and was asked to come in for the assessment the next day. Go there and it was 2 assessments. The first a paper one about maps and being able to give directions. The second was your basic computer call center assessment. Both of which I passed without a problem.

Interview Question – The only issues I had with the situation, was we set a time to meet at 9:00am and the HR rep didn't show up until 9:30 am so that aggravated me slightly   Answer Question

Difficult Interview

Editorial Interview

I applied online and the process took 4+ weeks - interviewed at American Automobile Association (AAA) in January 2013.

Interview Details – I was called a few weeks after I applied. The HR person scheduled a phone interview for screening first and sent me an online test to take in the meantime. This was a timed behavioral test. The phone interview went well. She asked the usual questions. Then she told me some things about AAA, which were mostly negative, and asked if I was still interested.

The phone interview went well, and the HR person arranged for me to come into the office for another test, which I passed. Then she set up an in-office interview and sent me another test to take.

All during the interview, the panelists kept looking at my resume and saying that they were certain I could do the job. Then they'd mention something about it and ask me what my experience was(?) and how comfortable I was with it. I was struck by how negative they all were, too. They spent much time bringing up the bad things about the organization, and it seemed as if they were trying to psych me out. At the same time, they all seemed to take this opportunity to reminisce, commiserate and joke about it. They made it sound like an awful place to work, yet they also gave an air of superiority because they had a job and I didn't.

I sent each one of them a thank-you letter afterward. No one responded. After a few weeks, I sent a follow-up note to the HR person for a status update. She never responded. It's been months.

As much as I needed and wanted a job, I knew this wasn't a good fit. However, I figured I could make it work and would just keep my nose to the grind. I know I was qualified for it and could have done it with no problem, and AAA really missed out by not moving forward with me. But it's still difficult to accept the disregard by those involved with this process. I spent about 10 hours on three long tests, a phone interview and a panel interview, and went to the office twice. They couldn't even acknowledge this effort and tell me what happened to the position. Unfortunately, that's the nature of the job market these days.

Interview Question – They asked the typical questions, including how I'd deal with difficult people.   View Answer

I applied online and the process took 2 months - interviewed at American Automobile Association (AAA).

Interview Details – The application and interviewing process is a nightmare. The website is extremely poor and you cannot contact anyone in HR. The process is very disorganized and I wonder if AAA can hire "A" candidates

Innovation Program Manager Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate

I applied online and the process took 3+ weeks - interviewed at American Automobile Association (AAA).

Interview Details – This comment is for the AAA Club Partners division of AAA.

Process took ~ 4 weeks. Started off w/convo w/recruiter. Screening went well, as it lead to a convo w/the hiring mgr. Hiring mgr convo was good, he liked my energy, my frankness, and that I had worked w/technology companies where change was common, which it was not in this environment. He even indicated that no one he's screened has all of the qualifications, but that I rated well. In terms of next steps, was told to give it ~ 2 weeks before following-up, unless they contacted me first.

So, I waited. To the day, reached out to the recruiter, who responded that the hiring mgr was still screening candidates, and to follow-up end of week. And I did, and was then informed by recruiter that the hiring mgr was in the final stages w/2 candidates.

I responded to the recruiter that had I known earlier that the hiring mgr was this far along w/other candidates, I would have appreciated a follow-up vs. having me wait for 2 weeks to follow-up. Never got a response to my comment.
