Interview Details – Very lengthy interview process. Was contacted in February for job that started May 3rd, the first process consisted of at least 25-30 people in a computer lab and when you pass that you will go through 1:1 interview. Maybe a week later they contact you to let you know that you've been hired.

Member Travel Counselor Interview

Spokane, WA

I applied online and the process took 4+ weeks - interviewed at American Automobile Association (AAA) in March 2014.

Interview Details – The first step was to fill out an application online, which was pretty basic. It did not include any of those tedious personality quizzes, thank goodness. After a couple of days, I also dropped off a resume in person at one of the locations in my city. The woman who I spoke with said it'd be about two weeks until they started calling people for interviews, and sure enough, I received a call about two weeks later. I scheduled an interview, and was interviewed a few days later by three very sweet managers. Their questions were not too difficult, and they took every step to ensure that I was comfortable during the interview. I ended up interviewing for an hour! By far one of the more personable panels I have been interviewed by.

Interview Question – None of the questions were all that difficult. Most were customer service or personality oriented, and none were very technical at all.   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – I did not negotiate and was offered $11/hour for a Member Travel Counselor position.

Travel Agent Interview

Travel Agent
Wake Forest, NC

I applied in-person and the process took 4 weeks - interviewed at American Automobile Association (AAA).

Interview Details – Was forgotten for weeks until I personally followed up with Manager. Was then put on hold for the weekend with no communication until I went in for interview. After I was hired, there was no communication about training unless I asked.

Interview Question – Where have you traveled?   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – No negotiation. Told everyone works for the company because they enjoy travel, not the money. AAA is a Non-Profit organization so they run thin.

Call Center Agent Interview

Call Center Agent
Saint Louis, MO

I applied online and the process took 4+ weeks - interviewed at American Automobile Association (AAA) in March 2013.

Interview Details – Initial communication by was phone. They setup interviews within 10 days of the call. You are usually interviewed by HR and a lower-level manager of the department you are applying for. Then you are taken to the department for a tour, and then interviewed by the Manager or Director for that department. It is a very welcoming environment, and low stress in terms of interviews. They want to see who you are as a person, not how much you can pass a test.

Interview Question – There are no really difficult or unexpected questions.   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – I did not make any negotiations because they already mentioned they were offering higher than they would typically.

I applied online and the process took 3 weeks - interviewed at American Automobile Association (AAA) in May 2010.

Interview Details – I was contacted by phone and asked a few questions- how did I hear about the company, what were my salary expectations, etc. Then I was sent a letter telling me where to report for the actual interview. Two supervisors interview you - good cop/bad cop. They ask you questions such as "tell me a time when you satisfied an irate customer". The interview takes 1 1/2 to two hours.

Interview Question – Most of the questions were pretty mundane.   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – No. There is no negotiation.
