No Offer – Interviewed in Morrow, GA May 2012 – Reviewed Dec 27, 2012
Interview Details – The interview was conducted in a group in the back storage area. There were 5 of us total. The questions were fairly simple and something like what you would expect from any employer. The interviewer was very nice, in an overly-excited kind of way,but had the personality that was comfortable enough to approach.
Interview Question – There were not necessarily any difficult or unexpected questions. However, they did ask "Is the customer always right?" That is quite the thinker. I cannot say that there is a right or wrong answer, that is for you to decide. Answer Question
No Offer – Interviewed in Pittsburgh, PA Nov 2012 – Reviewed Nov 13, 2012
Interview Details – A long, three month process. This began with an awkward video-recorded interview where you basically record yourself answering 7 pre-formatted questions then send it back to AE for review. Two weeks later, I had a 30 minute phone interview with a Buyer at Aerie that was focused on their current store assortments, the latest fashion trends, and their competition. Next, a 30 minute timed retail math test consisting of 20 questions and a personality test. After that, they flew me into Pittsburgh for a huge 2-day interview event with 40 other students. The 2-day event consisted of 2 45 minute interviews with top buyers, a panel discussion, a 2-hour wine mixer, and a group trend project and presentation in front of 30 executives. Maybe it was just me, but the entire process seemed to center around them trying to talk everyone into loving Pittsburgh and the laid back AE culture. Very sorority-type, and everyone working there is young, young, young. Not incredibly professional.

Interview Details – As soon as I had turned in the application to the manager she had immediately scheduled me for an interview. When I went in for the interview I came in a bit early and they told me that no manager had finished from their break so I would have to come back at the time I was told. When I came back for my interview the manager and I had walked all around the mall, as the interview was conducted casual conversational style. The manager didn't really like the preset questions thing and as a whole she seemed very upbeat and very personable. Lastly, they had made me take a personality quiz suited to what kind of qualities you think a person who works there should have.
Interview Question – What is the last thing you had to buy? Answer Question

Interview Details – I applied for the position by submitting a job application in-store and I received a called about a week later. The interview was a group interview and it was pretty laid-back. There were about 5 other people including myself and we all answered questions voluntarily or around the table. My interviewer was very nice and friendly. Most of the questions pertained to sales (how would you handle this situation under this condition, how would you greet a customer, how would you sell this merchandise, etc).
