I applied through other source. The process took 2 daysinterviewed at Amgen.

    Interview Details

Amgen has a very good interview process. They are quite detailed in how they set it up and are very accommodating. I had to fly into CA and someone picked me up and took me to the hotel. I then had someone (who Amgen hired) to show me around town so that I can get familiar with the location. During the day of the interview, all the interviewers were in sequential order. I finished the interview and then was dropped back to the airport.

I applied through a staffing agency – interviewed at Amgen in August 2014.

The interviewers didn't ask many questions and it was a very short interview. The interviewers didn't know what to ask and kept asking each other if the other person had any questions. It felt very unprofessional.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeksinterviewed at Amgen in April 2014.

    Interview Details

I was contacted by a recruiter for a phone interview. I was then invited to an in person interview. The first was a panel interview, which I felt went extremely well. I was then interviewed by the person who conducted the phone interview, it was pretty much a continuation of the phone interview just in person.

I applied through college or university. The process took 2+ monthsinterviewed at Amgen in February 2014.

    Interview Details

First round interview from a non-target school was via Skype. The interviewer was very friendly, and the questions were all behavioral. I was asked about my leadership experience and items on my resume. It was nothing out of the usual, things like "Tell me about yourself", "Time you dealt with conflict", etc. I got the sense though that candidates from non-target schools faced more competition and were less likely to move on to the second round (probably because they will fly you to the main campus if you do).

Interview was scheduled through an external recruiter. Interview happened on time. However, interviewer seemed to be a racist and did not even listen properly due to connectivity issues. Made conclusions based on bits and pieces that were heard on the phone.

I applied online. The process took 3 weeksinterviewed at Amgen.

It started with a phone interview, then a 5 1/2 hour interview with 10 people. I was required to travel to both offices to meet with these people. Everyone was very friendly and I felt good when I finished the long day. Then......crickets. Never heard another word. I followed-up with the recruiter and was told she would forward my email to the hiring manager. That's the last I ever heard.
