Accepted Offer – Interviewed in Jacksonville, FL Apr 2013 – Reviewed Apr 28, 2013
Interview Details – The process was very easy and straight forward. Went to the website, filled out the application, attached my resume and cover letter and took the personality test. Once that was submitted, it was basically a wait and see game. The call to set up an interview came about 3 weeks after I had applied. When I called, I actually spoke to the hiring manager, but she was sure to let me know she would not be conducting the interview. I went into the interview 15 minutes early, and was told the assistant manager who was interviewing me wouldnt be there until my set up interview time, so I could walk around the store or come back at 1:30. I walked around a bit, the store was a bit busy, it was getting ready for their Friends and Family sale. At 1:30 on the dot, the AM came over to me, introduced herself and another girl who would be interviewing with me. The interview took about a half hour or so. She told us as soon as we sat that it was going to be very informal interview, more like a conversation. And it was! She was the sweetest girl and completely put me at ease. Once it was all said and done, she said she'd get back to us in 2 days the latest, that happend on a Thursday afternoon. By Friday evening I was convinced I hadn't gotten hired. Tuesday afternoon, the hiring manager called to offer me a position, and also apologize for taking so long to get back to me, since things were hectic because of the Friends & Family sale.
Interview Question – No difficult questions. Just be youself, and don't let nerves get to you, she loved it that I talked and was energtic, even though I'm always nervous on interviews. Answer Question
Negotiation Details – One of the last questions I was asked was what my pay expectations were. I mentioned two hourly rates, one being the last rate at my last job, and the second .50 cents more. Loft almost always gives you more than minimum wage. Got the hourly rate that is .50 cents more than I was getting at my last job.

Interview Details –
I went in on a Thursday evening and they gave me a paper application as well as having to do an online assessment. I filled out the online application the following day and on Monday went to turn in my paper application. When I arrived, the manager said they were just about to call me, so they took me in back for an interview.
They were SUPER friendly. And I was hired on the spot. They asked me why LOFT when there are so many other retailers out there. Also asked me where I get my fashion advice. They're looking for clean-cut, stylish and friendly people.
Interview Question – Pretty standard questions. No questions about past experience asked. Answer Question

Interview Details –
I applied on a whim during my job hunting frenzy. I was surprised to hear back about 2 days after dropping off my application. I was called in and offered to take part in a group interview. The interview consisted of about 6 or so girls. 3 of which were hired. It was a pretty relaxed environment and I honestly wasn't sure how they would have been able to differentiate us based on that interview, but I guess they somehow did! The interview was about 2 hours long and consisted of putting together several outfits to fit certain occasions. Then we were asked several easy questions such as "Why do you want to work for Loft?" and "Where do you get your style inspiration from? Magazines? Celebrities...etc?"
My biggest advice for someone wanting to work at LOFT is to make sure you really understand the brand. During our training, we spent about 4 hours discussing and learning about the brand. So really do your research and make your answers reflect the brand!
They really are looking for people who will actively engage with the customer. So be sure to emphasize that you can do that!

Interview Details – I applied online and called to set up an interview. The first interview was a group interview with about 4 people total. Basic questions about your work experience and situational questions. I was called back to a second interview which was one on one. These questions were about knowledge of merchandising and more situational and work experience questions. Everyone was very nice in the interview process. I didn't get an offer because I could only work seasonally and they were looking for someone more long-term.
