Product Support Specialist Interview

Product Support Specialist
Montreal, QC (Canada)

I applied online and the process took 3 weeks - interviewed at Autodesk in September 2009.

Interview Details – The interview was a phone interview. There was multiple people but the interview was well balanced and informative. It didn't really give a good indication of what the position was like, it felt more like a "do we like you?" interview, I was overqualified so maybe that is why there was no skill test

Product Support Specialist Interview

Product Support Specialist

I applied online and the process took 2 weeks - interviewed at Autodesk in August 2007.

Interview Details – 3 rounds - basics with HR, Personality/Experience test with manager, then group with employees who would become peers. Interview with manager was very specific regarding how you would react in specific customer service situations, and also covered some technical ground. Interview with peers was more specific (technical), gave a better idea of corporate culture. They also brought in divisional manager for just a few moments, which was a little awkward - peers didn't seem comfortable with him, and all questions from him were about them, not me, the interviewee.

Interview Questions

  • A customer tells you that they don't believe your advice. What will you do?   View Answer
  • What have you taught yoursefl/learned lately outside of work?   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – I only negotiated a later start date, but should have aimed for a higher salary. That said, the offer was higher than I expected.
