    Interview

The recruiter emailed me back and forth to schedule a call. Eventually we settled a time on the same day over the phone but she never called me back on that day. Disappointing process and unprofessional recruiting staff.

    Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 3 weeksinterviewed at Avaya (Santa Clara, CA) in April 2015.

    Interview

The interview process for new graduate role was very smooth. I got a call from the hiring manager who talked about 30 minutes discussing my resume and qualifications. Then I got onsite call where I met 4 people - 45 minutes each. They tell you to be calm and relaxed and it is comforting environment for the interview but stay alert. They look for behavioral skills more than technical. Technical questions were average one apart from one interview in which I was given a tough programming question.

    Interview

Not very well structured multiple recruiters contacted me for the same interview, which led to a lot of confusion. Recruiter call and a video interview with the hiring manager. Never heard back from them

    Interview

Great first level manager interviews. Interviewing with Sr. SE Leadership a joke. took forever to get any answers out - not sure who they are trying to hire - could not pay just a few more dollars than i have been making for past 2 years.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeksinterviewed at Avaya.

    Interview

submitted resume online and HR scheduled an Video interview with QA manager. the interview lasted about 30 minutes. all the questions were about the details of the projects I have done for my coursework (I'm new grad) and the work I did for my intern. I got a response one week later. maybe my background did not match the position's requirements perfectly, the manager is very friendly and patient.

    Interview Questions

    • a little unexpected, because no questions were related to technique. all about the projects on resume (asked almost one by one): what did I do in my previous intern, what kind of tool did I use for analysis (the work I did for intern), the role in the team when doing coursework, what did I do for some specific projects.   Answer Question

    Application

The process took 3 weeksinterviewed at Avaya (Westminster, CO) in March 2012.

    Interview

Initial communication from the company was from a corporate recruiter in New Jersey. This recruiter did not have answers to any questions regarding culture, salary range but did set up an interview for the next week with the hiring manager. 2 weeks later the hiring manager called and set up an interview time. During the interview the hiring manager was interrupted several times as he was trying to multitask an interview and several in house duties at the same time. Interview ended and he said the corporate recruiter would be calling me back later that week. After a week I called both the recruiter and hiring manager, reached a voicemail. Left message requesting call back. Two days later I called again, left another message requesting a call back. Several months have passed and I have not yet heard from them. Very unprofessional hiring process just based on the lack of respect for those that are being interviewed

    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2+ monthsinterviewed at Avaya (Westminster, CO) in November 2011.

    Interview

Pphone interview, in-person interview at HQ with 6+ people, then a month later, an in-person interview in CO office where work would be with another 6+ people. Good interviews/questions/responses. People in CO seemed very bright and good engineering team. In spite of promise to inform me of decision either way, never heard anything back at all. Had to push to get them to reimburse travel expenses. Disappointing, but better to find out up front that they are disorganized/poor communication skills.
