Public Finance Analyst Interview (Neutral Experience; Average Interview)
I applied through college or university and the process took 2 months - interviewed at Bank of America in October 2012.
Interview Details – Interviewed on campus and got to final round on-site. The first interview was with a recent graduate with whom I connected pretty well. On-site, I interviewed with five mangers. They did not seem like they prepared for the interview but given their experience, they were able to ask the right questions to see if I was a good fit.
Interview Question – What make you a good fit given your unusual college background for the role? Answer Question
Teller Interview (Neutral Experience; Average Interview)
I applied online and the process took 5 weeks - interviewed at Bank of America in July 2014.
Interview Details – I applied for the job--and completed the thorough online assessment--about a month before I was actually contacted by anyone. I'd assumed I'd been dropped from consideration, but was shortly contacted for a phone interview and then, having done well, immediately referred to do an in-person interview. The first interview was expected to take 25 minutes, but took an hour--a good sign! I got a callback later that afternoon to do a second interview at a different location within the network. That interview was much more brief, and the manager let me know to expect an answer in about a week's time. However, I got the dreaded vague-rejection-email from the recruiter the very next morning. I'm not completely surprised by this: I got smacked with the word "overqualified" during the interview and expect that they chose someone who was less of a flight risk.
Interview Question – They got a prop out and had me simulate a sale of a new credit card with one of the assistant managers. View Answer
QA Analyst Interview (Negative Experience; Average Interview)
I applied through a recruiter - interviewed at Bank of America in July 2014.
Interview Details – Got a phone interview with a recruiter. BOA manager was 25 minutes late in calling. Though he seemed OK with my technical background and this was a technical position, kept on pressing questions about my lack of financial and FOREX background. As far as my status goes, I never got a response from him even after 1 week later so I assumed no in-person interview.
Interview Question – Please let me know how you would catch up to speed on FOREX trading despite not having any professional experience with this. Answer Question

I applied through a staffing agency and the process took a day - interviewed at Bank of America.
Interview Details – Got a call from the consultant for the interview next day, hiring manager was very professional and very smart. He kept me at ease and asked quite tricky questions but did not give the feedback. Haven't heard back from them.

Mortgage Underwriter Interview (Neutral Experience)
Interviewed at Bank of America
Interview Details – I received an email from a recruiter located in California. I went to the interview a few minutes late. I knew at that time that I did not have the job. The lady that interviewed me was nice and polite and interviewed me anyway. She then told me that she was from California herself.
Interview Question – There was no difficult questions for me. I had been on a few interviews at that time and was used to them. But just to list one, I would have to say the question about tell me your weaknesses. I really hate that one. I use a different reason all the time. Answer Question
Technology Analyst Interview (Positive Experience; Average Interview)
I applied online and the process took 2 weeks - interviewed at Bank of America in March 2014.
Interview Details – Applied online and got a call form recruiter after 2 weeks to set up telephonic interview. Everything went well, the interviewer asked me about Data structures and difference between Hash map and Sets. I got a call for onsite interview, but I was not able to go because of my 2 midterms on the same day

Salses and Trading Interview (Negative Experience; Difficult Interview)
I applied through college or university and the process took 1 week - interviewed at Bank of America in October 2013.
Interview Details – I applied through my university and was interviewed on campus by an alumni. I had an internal recommendation, interviewed, sent a thank you email, and never heard back either way...... The interviewer was obnoxious and spoke right over me while answering questions.
Technology Developer & Analyst Program Interview (Neutral Experience; Easy Interview)

Interview Details – Applied through university and got short listed for face to face interview in University campus. Got through the first round and asked to come for an interview at NYC.The selection process is entirely random, if you have luck then you can get it easily.. Questions were mostly from basic OOPs concepts, JAVA basics, threading, design patterns, basic SQL concepts and small programs like factorial, search algorithm,..

Teller Interview (Negative Experience; Difficult Interview)
I applied online and the process took 2 weeks - interviewed at Bank of America in July 2014.
Interview Details – The first step involved a phone interview with a recruiter, then I was invited to come in for their group interview. The group interview was pretty structured and straightforward at first, but as it got closer to the end where each general branch manager got to speak one on one with the candidates, it was very clear who was going to get a job offer and who wasn't. There were some of us who were waiting 45 minutes to have our turn at a one on one and not one manager spoke to us. I feel like if they are going to have a one-on-one with their candidates, they should just have the people who are going to have the one-on-ones stay and let everyone else leave. It was incredibly disrespectful to my time and the other candidate's time who had to sit there and wait for 45 minutes only to find out that they won't be interacting with the managers one-on-one at all.
Interview Question – Questions such as "What was your greatest accomplishment" and "Give an example of a time you gave extraordinary customer service" were limited to the first five people. View Answer
