Assistant Vice President Banking Center Manager Interview

Its been 10 years but be ready to wait. The hiring process is all red tape and even after you have been contacted, take the test, meet the Executive, you still have to get fingerprinted, go to the center and enter your I-9 and then wait a couple more weeks while your financial background comes back before you are made the offer and then another week or so before you start. Very LONG process. I don't know why they haven't figured it out yet but it is just as frustrating for the current associates as it is for the ones trying to be hired

I got my foot in the door and seem to have come pretty close to getting the job. There was someone inside who was a good candidate, and I think they were just seeing "who else was out there."

What's great about that: a company promoting from within.

I don't feel like my time was wasted.

I feel like should I ever make inside there in a capacity I like? I may have an opportunity for good recognition and growth like that person did.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ weekinterviewed at Bank of America in December 2012.

    Interview Details

I was contacted by a recruiter who enjoyed our conversation. The recruiter proceeded to send me a link for a skills assessment test. Once I completed the test she notified me that I did pass and she will set up an interview. I interviewed with 3 different managers and was offered the position on the spot.

I applied online. The process took 3+ weeksinterviewed at Bank of America in August 2012.

    Interview Details

I would say it was the worst interviewing process I have encountered. The recruiters are not qualified in my opinion. I was required to take at least three tests, one of which was a "combative" test where you are on the phone for at least an hour role playing. Sounds like fun? I never encountered hostile associates while at Bank of America. the focus should had been on my experience in the business and what positive contributions I could make to the company and the unit I was assigned.

I applied through an employee referral – interviewed at Bank of America in May 2012.
