I applied through an employee referral and the process took 3+ weeks - interviewed at Bank of America.

Interview Details – Put in an application online and had an employee referral. Got a phone interview a week later it was pretty basic. Then after a week have an interview at the office and it went great. I was told it was the best interview the manger had ever had. So I was very confident, but then I got an email saying they were going with a different applicant. I called the recruiter and asked what I could do to improve and then was told that email was sent to me by mistake and received my offer email the next day.

Interview Question – Tell me a time when you made a mistake at work.   View Answer

Negotiation Details – They came in low I asked for more and got it. Seems they will lowball everyone.

Sales & Service Specialist Interview

I applied through a recruiter and the process took 1 week - interviewed at Bank of America in September 2012.

Interview Details – Honestly, this is the last interview I went through, which is the one I can remember the most. With every job position you go through, or every banking center you wish to transfer to, you will have to interview. The last transfer I made was from Teller Operations Specialist to Sales & Service Specialist. When I first walked into this banking center, the lobby leader greeted me and let me have a seat in the lobby. I observed the tellers and they were very professional-looking. However, you can always tell that they are wondering who this person (me) is. When I was called to meet with the manager, I was given a firm handshake, which is the first sign of confidence. I was asked, why I wanted to step down positions; what I knew about the role; what i was bringing to the table. After all the questions, I met with their teller operations specialist (lead teller), and she did a mini interview, mostly teller-related questions. Then I was taken on a tour of the banking center and I was introduced to everyone (this is done to everyone, whether you got the job or not). Later on, I received a phone call from the recruiter, who is the person who will let you know if they are interested in you or not.

Interview Question – The most "difficult" thing to do that they almost always ask, is to role play a certain scenario in dealing with a customer.   Answer Question
