    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3+ months. I interviewed at Bank of America (Lake Ronkonkoma, Suffolk, NY).

    Interview

My interview process was completely over the phone. Initially it was my manager that screened me, followed by a second call with the rest of the team. They fired technical questions at me, and I answered them. I was then asked if I had any questions about the role. My position is interesting because of the geographical dispersement of my team. Nearly everyone in the group works from home, thus they phone interviews. A lot of what they were looking for was both my technical abilities and my ability to communicate and blend with the rest of the team.

    Interview

Very long interview process, months of waiting and more team members to meet and interview with. This whole process could have been more streamlined. The hiring manager wasn't at all organized and didn't keep track of information in questions already answered.

    Interview Questions

    • Not really any difficult questions just average technical information.   Answer Question

    Negotiation

Low ball offer with repeated no ability of the hiring manager to increase the offer.

    Interview

Single HR phone interview with subsequent hiring manager interview. HR contacted me based on a prior application for a different job. Focus was on a "walk-through" of the resume in interviews with HR, hiring manager's executive and hiring manager's colleague. Last interview with hiring manager focused more on technical skills important to the hiring manager.
