I filled out an application on-line and got a call about a week later to come in for an interview. I met with the manager and was asked basic questions: "Why do you want to work here?" , "How would you help a customer that was filling out a bridal registry?"
I was asked my availability and told that I would have to be interviewed by a second manager and I should be hearing from them in the next couple of days to schedule.

I got a call for an interview within a day of applying. I met a manager and then another hiring manager who asked me more specific questions. They offered me the part-time position then and there. I'm about to accept it.

    Interview Questions
    • The interviewer asked me to describe an instance where an employee could go above and beyond in helping a customer. I gave an answer but then he redundantly asked it again in another way which was frustrating.   Answer Question

I applied online. The process took 2 weeksinterviewed at Bed Bath & Beyond in April 2014.

    Interview Details

I applied on snagajob.com and heard back within two weeks. I was called for an interview, went in two days later, he asked me to show up early to fill out a paper application. Then a manager met with me, we talked for about 15minutes about my previous positions and what this position would entail. Then he told me that he would get back to me when the store manager was available to interview me. The few questions he asked were normal, like why do you want to work here, what did you do at (a previous job), and if I had any questions for him.

I applied in-person. The process took a weekinterviewed at Bed Bath & Beyond.

    Interview Details

I gave my application in person, within a few days they contacted me for an interview. Interview was about 30 minutes. A few typical interview questions and the rest was random chitchat. Very easy. He made it seem obvious that I was going to be hired but didn't get a call till a few days later. Interview was mostly about getting to know me personally. They really like cheerful people.

I applied in-person. The process took 1+ weekinterviewed at Bed Bath & Beyond in October 2013.

    Interview Details

I applied online through a job search engine. I got an email response asking that I come in. I then filled out a hard copy application and had my first interview. (After working here for a while I realized that applying online was really just a way to get me in the door, I personally assume that the email response is sent out to everyone who applies online. As a company or so I've been told they try to give everyone a chance "They are always hiring.") I had my second interview that same day with a different manager. I was contacted the next day to set up the third interview with the store manager. I was hired within a week or 2.

    Interview Questions
    • Scenarios. My third interview with the store manager had a couple scenarios that I wasn't really sure of.   Answer Question
    Negotiation Details
You are somewhat able to negotiate pay and flexibility of hours. I am a college student and don't work many hours and they are very flexible about that. Also when I originally applied I had a second job and they were willing to work around it.

When I returned for my interview I was taken up to the offices and given the normal interview. A few questions and told they would review my references and be in contact. I was called back one day later with a job offer.

I applied in-person. The process took 5 daysinterviewed at Bed Bath & Beyond in September 2013.

    Interview Details

I went in to get an application, turned it in a couple days later and I had a small interview on the spot to go over my availability. She told me they do call backs on Fridays so they can call your references and past employers. The hiring manager actually called me on Saturday to schedule a formal interview a couple days later. The interview was very simple. He talked to me about what kind of training they do and how the store is ran. Then he asked me a couple of easy questions. After that he offered me the position right there!
