No Offer – Interviewed in Tinley Park, IL Jul 2012 – Reviewed May 22, 2013 New
Interview Details – Best Buy does not seem to have hiring the best applicant for the position in mind, at least in my case. I am 55, have 30 years of excellent retail sales and management skills and was simply looking to sell a passion of mine; high end audio equipment in the Magnolia Room. The first interview was with a substitute for the store manager. He was cold but efficient and asked pertinent questions. I stressed my strengths and skill. I also spoke of my salary needs and was told that it is out of line for their structure. I agreed to aquiesce. I offered no resistance. I received a call for a second interview and returned to speak with a second in charge of the Tinley Park, Il store. That went fine as well. It was with the second in charge of the store; it seems the manager was perpetually on vacation? Hard to say really. I never heard back from them. I was truly shocked. It seems highly unlikely someone would be more prepared to roll up their sleeves and give great service than me.
Interview Question – There were no difficult questions; the process and questions asked were straightforward and fair. I have no qualms about the interview process being a good one. It just may have poor outcomes for them, at times. Answer Question

Interview Details – They asked me a few questions, mostly pertaining to stealing. I guess they have some sort of problem with that. I was told that it was a 3 step process, and that I was on the first step. If I got to the second step, I'd interview with a manager. The third step was interviewing with the owner.

Interview Details – I applied online, got a call maybe 2 or 3 days later and was asked to come in about a week after that. I was told I would be meeting with one guy (they gave me his name) so I showed up saying that and was told to wait. 15 minutes later a guy with a different name came to interview me. He asked typical questions and it didn't last more than 10 minutes. He said he had more interviews and would call for another interview. I never got the call but it worked out because I got a job at the store next door which paid more anyway.
