I was initially contacted by a recruiter asking if I was still interested in interviewing for RIM, of course I said yes. She then went ahead and asked me some basic HR questions to make sure I was "qualified" for the position. An onsite interview was scheduled for a week later.
Before the onsite interview I was pretty nervous but once I got into the conference room and met my interviewers my nerves calmed a little. There were initially 2 interviewers, but another one joined us later. Surprisingly there were no technical questions (I guess since they mainly did manual testing) so all they asked me about was my previous experiences/project (such as with my current employer). Even with such a, relatively, easy interview they offered the position to someone else.

Interviewing for internship at RIM is a simple process. The first step is to apply online and then the Recruiter contacts you to setup an interview with the Manager/Team Lead. Then it is totally upto the interviewer to go into technical details or interview based on the resume.

Interview Details – The initial telephone interview was fairly straightforward, general questions pertaining to the information on my resume, received a callback about two hours later offering me a personal interview the following monday. (this was a friday) Personal interview went well, met with the team lead and dept manager. Same sorts of questions asked in telephone interview, as well as some technical questions. Both individuals were personable, and seemed like good people. looking forward to starting once the background screening is complete.
Interview Question – I was given a "no right or wrong answer" conundrum. You're working on a critical outage, millions of dollars at stake, and your supervisor needs you to complete some document that only you can complete. And, nobody is available to take over the issue while you compete the document. What do you do? View Answer
