Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2+ monthsinterviewed at BlackRock (Princeton, NJ) in May 2015.

Interview

Was told by an Alumni contact that there was an internal opening in Princeton. Applied, phone interview was relatively straightforward, pretty basic walk me through your resume, why BlackRock, why sales. Good rapport with the HR rep on the phone and pretty informal. Week later get invited back to a in office interview, meeting with 2 people for 30 minutes each. Be ready to back up anything you say and supplement your answers because the interviewers were extremely thorough in breaking down your resume and your behavioral answers. Both interviewers asked me about a current event or news story so have a few prepared. Got an answer back inviting me for the final round, which I had a month to prepare for. Last round was a 10 minute presentation on a mutual fund (you are given some basic literature before hand) followed by a Q&A (both were done in front of 6 people) Follow up questions were technical in nature. After wards there was a 2 on 1 interview for 45 minutes, then a 1 on 1 interview for 45. Standard behavioral questions. Difficult but preparation goes a long way. 3 weeks later received a phone call with the offer.
