    Enterprise Solution Specialist I Interview

    Application Details

I applied online. The process took 2 weeksinterviewed at Blackbaud in September 2014.

    Interview Details

First step in the process was an online interview that records your responses to an assortment of questions. Nothing technical, just experiences.

Next step was a 4 hour onsite. This included a skills test on a computer and around 3 hours of meeting with different members of the company. All employees seemed genuinely interested in learning more about me and making sure I would be a good fit within the company. Only one or two technical questions, but mostly scenario questions.

I applied online – interviewed at Blackbaud.

    Interview Details

I applied for the position and was invited to an open forum where there managers, employees etc there. You just kind of traveled around and talked to people. It was very casual and relaxed. It was kind of awkward at first but once you walked up to someone it really flowed after that. I spoke to a total of 6 people and really made good use of my time. They pulled me to the side and scheduled an interview for the following week. What I liked most about this forum is it was in the evening so very accommodating for current working people.

My follow up interview was about 3 1/2 hrs long. It started with a tour from an employee, a quick meet and greet with HR and then a skills test won the computer. I sat with an employee and listened to calls for about 45 minutes. Then I had an interview with 2 managers where they asked me some fun questions, serious questions and resume questions.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2+ monthsinterviewed at Blackbaud.

    Interview Details

Prefer not to disclose the details of the process but it was what I would describe as "normal". Phone screen with Recruiter, Phone screen with hiring manager and then in-person in two office locations, Charleston and austin. Based on my role this was viewed as "normal" by me and they were accommodating to my schedule.

I applied online. The process took 4+ weeksinterviewed at Blackbaud.

    Interview Details

I had 3 interviews before I was offered the job, the interview process takes forever. The first two interviews are phone, one with the HR recruiter, second with Team manager, then third face to face with a panel of three managers one from the team you are coming to, the others from other teams. Also had to answer a written test with customer support questions with answers.

    Interview Questions
    • I had to describe a difficult case with a customer and how I resolved it and how I dealt with difficult customers. Also was asked how I would deal with a difficult co-worker.   Answer Question

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2+ monthsinterviewed at Blackbaud.

    Interview Details

Long long long. Had to do a case study. Multiple interviews. It was a bit misleading for the job.

    Interview Questions
    • How would you respond if an executive challenged your work.   Answer Question
    Negotiation Details
Misleading and a bit old fashioned. I was passed back and forth between hr and the hiring manager. Each claimed not to have the authority to negotiate. Obvious power tactic.

    Intern Interview

I applied through college or university. The process took 5 weeksinterviewed at Blackbaud.

    Interview Details

Blackbaud posted a position for an internal audit summer intern on my college campus's career services website. I submitted my resume through that website. About 2 weeks after submitting my resume, I received an email from HR asking to participate in an online interview recorded via a webcam. I would be given an interview question, and then I would have 2 minutes to record my response. A few days after completing the online interview, I received another email from HR inquiring about a phone interview with one of the auditors at Blackbaud. The interview lasted about 30 minutes, and it was very laid back - no behavioral questions, no case studies, just a conversation about the experience I would be receiving as an intern. A week later, I had another interview with the Director of Internal Audit, and the very next day, I received an offer.
