I applied through an employee referral – interviewed at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan.

    Interview

Didn't have one, but I heard other interns had phone interviews just asking about major and other jobs they have had. I think it depends on who your boss will be since those are the people who conduct the interviews with potential candidates.

    Interview

After being laid off we were given the opportunity to search for another job with Blue Cross through the company's online job bank. I applied and was called in for an interview within a month. I was not offered the job and later found out that it was given to someone who had not been laid off but wanted to change departments.

    Application

I applied online – interviewed at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan (Detroit, MI) in March 2015.

    Interview

I had a brief conversation with HR, and then they scheduled a facetime interview for me with two managers who were hiring in the organization. After these interviews, I was brought into the office to meet the team, and the hiring managers boss, and peers. I liked the 360 degree approach about having the peers and management have a voice in the decision. There were 2 case discussions, one in the skype interview and one in the in person interview, but both were very informal discussions. The only part that I was dissapointed on was not being notified sooner as to whether I received an offer.

    Project Manager Interview

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 weeksinterviewed at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan (Southfield, MI) in February 2015.

    Interview

Been on a few interviews there. They seem unorganized and make decisions on the fly, looks like they really are building a position based on interviews. That maybe a new technique for business, but certainly doesn't bode well for the HR process. Also they seem to have a revolving door for employees, they look to contract the majority of their services - great for a contractor but lousy for a person seeking a long term opportunity. I continue to get calls from recruiters for positions in BCBS & BCN but am really apprehensive about taking the time to go interview. They have a long process and have never provided any feedback to myself or recruiters

    Interview

I only went through the first round, but it was still a very positive experience. All the interviewers were very intelligent and the conversation was very fluid. They communicated that those making it to the second round would be flown to Detroit for the second round, which would include another interview with a panel of interviewers, 45 minute presentation and meeting other team members.
