    Application

I applied online. The process took 3+ monthsinterviewed at Brady (Milwaukee, WI) in April 2015.

    Interview

Initially the process consisted of three phone interviews with HR and hiring managers. The second phase was to fly to the company HQ for a face to face with four individuals. The entire process took about three months due to scheduling.

    Interview Questions

    • "Tell me about a difficult situation that involved a unsatisfied customer"?   1 Answer

    Reasons for Declining

During the interview, I had the impression that the new role was somewhat unstable due to the lack of clear expectations and marketing with the product lines. I had specific questions that went unanswered and the compensation was very vague as to how bonuses and commissions could be earned. I am not for certain that the hiring managers were intentionally trying to mislead anyone, yet they were definitely a little disorganized and unprepared for the interview.

Maybe a day or two later I offered the job. I needed to take a drug test. Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeksinterviewed at Brady (Milwaukee, WI) in June 2011.

    Interview

Professional position interviews will span 1/2 day, interacting 1:1 with various managers in the group, both vertical and lateral. Expect the run of the mill hiring process, complete with all the paperwork and checks. I choose not to share details of the interviews themselves, but simply know that Brady hires personality over skill. Why so? Skill can be taught, but you cannot alter an unwelcoming personality.

    Interview Questions

    • The most difficult question of all--'Why you over the other candidates?'   1 Answer

    Negotiation

I did not negotiate, but there is slight room for negotiation.

    Marketing Internship Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Milwaukee, WI

    Positive Experience
    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 1 dayinterviewed at Brady (Milwaukee, WI) in April 2010.

    Interview

I received a phone call from a Brady Corp Recruiter a few weeks after I applied through my University. Only a few dozen are chosen out of a stack of thousands of applicants to come in for the interview. Feel honored to at least received the call. You will be informed that it is a 2.5 hour interview with 5 different people. At first glance it seems like a group interview, WRONG. It is a 1:1 interview with 5 different people, 1/2 hour after another. This is five of the TOP marketing managers at Brady, not recruiters. The interviews are very hard, and really test your competency in the field. If you were to slip up on something, they would catch you. Know your resume well and be able to show your hard-working ethic and creativity. This is an out-of-the box interview process. If you are not sharp, you will not get the position, as they only hire 10 or less interns selected.

    Interview Questions

    • Why did you chose marketing over any other field?   1 Answer
    • What are the 4 P's of marketing.   1 Answer

    Negotiation

Since it is an internship, the negotiation phase is mostly on their end.
